President Sarkissian received representative of the World Health Organization (WHO)

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Assistant Director General of the WHO Svetlana Axelrode.

She presented to Armen Sarkissian the “Prevention and control of noncommunicable disease in Armenia: The case for Investment” report prepared by the UN experts.

The report presents problems of noncommunicable disease and economic expenses conditioned by them.

President Sarkissian welcomed the idea to conduct such research and stressed the importance of the measures aimed at fighting noncommunicable disease. He expressed readiness to assist in promoting steps aimed at boosting the healthy lifestyle.
