President Armen Sarkissian received delegation of the International Atomic Energy Agency

President Armen Sarkissian received today Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano and his delegation.

At the meeting, President Sarkissian noted that safe use of the atomic energy has been and will continue to be a priority for Armenia. He thanked the IAEA for the assistance provided to our country through the years. The parties exchanged views on the possibility of implementing new programs and agreed to continue in the future to deepen the bilateral efficient cooperation, encompassing new areas, particularly medicine and healthcare.

Considering Armenia’s great potential in the area of science, the parties underscored that the cooperation might include areas such as new technologies and artificial intelligence.
