President Sarkissian at Tsitsernakaberd paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide

Today, President Armen Sarkissian and Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian, together with the highest spiritual and secular leadership of the country on the occasion of the Day of remembrance of the victims of the Armenian Genocide visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial and paid tribute to the memory of the victims.

A wreath was laid at the memorial on behalf of the President of Armenia. President Sarkissian also laid flowers at the eternal flame dedicated to the memory of the victims. His Holiness Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II led the interceding ceremony dedicated to the holy martyrs.

Afterwards, the President of Armenia visited the Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide and observed the “Komitas Vardapet and Hovhannes Toumanian: 150 years old witnesses of the Armenian Genocide” exhibition.
