President Sarkissian and Director of ICRAnet discussed possibilities for deepening the cooperation
President Armen Sarkissian met today with the Director of ICRAnet international organization Remo Ruffini and his delegation.
ICRAnet – the International Center for Relativistic Astrophysics network, is an international organization which carries out research in the areas of relativistic astrophysics, cosmology, and physics. The members of the Organization are Armenia, Brazil, Italy, and Vatican, as well as Universities of Arizona and Stanford, and International Center of Relativistic Astrophysics of Italy.
Stressing the importance of the ICRAnet’s activities in Armenia, President Sarkissian noted that in our country the development of education and science receive great attention. Armen Sarkissian underscored that Armenia should establish cooperation with the world’s leading centers, organizations, and universities.
According to the President, it is not accidental that in the framework of his foreign visits meetings are being organized with the leaders of prominent higher education establishments, research and scientific centers; it allows to lay a foundation for a new cooperation between Armenia and leading centers.
Remo Ruffini hailed cooperation with Armenia. He noted that there is an intention to implement new programs with the countries of Central Asia via Armenia.
The interlocutors discussed possibilities of the implementation of joint programs and further deepening of cooperation.
