President Sarkissian received the President of PACE: Development and strengthening of democracy is a continuous process

President Armen Sarkissian received today the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Liliane Maury-Pasquier.

Liliane Maury-Pasquier noted that they were following closely changes which took place in Armenia last year.

Speaking about the parliamentary elections, which took place in our country last December, the President of the PACE stressed the importance of those elections from the viewpoint of strengthening democracy in the country.

Noting that strengthening of democracy and institutional development are of a continuous nature, President Sarkissian said that the ongoing processes in our country are aimed at a constant consolidation of democracy and democratic institutions.
