President Armen Sarkissian hosted the captain of the Armenian national football team Henrikh Mkhitarian and his little fan from Gyumri

President Armen Sarkissian hosted today the captain of the Armenian national football team, halfback of the London's Arsenal Henrikh Mkhitarian. Present at the meeting was also Manvel Loretsian, a schoolboy from Gyumri.

President Sarkissian vistied Gyumri last weekend and while strolling in the center of the city, came accross a movie set. The President learned about the story of the film and got acquianted with the little actors – Ani and Manvel. A cordial conversation moved then from the movie set to a coffee shop nearby.

It turned out that Manvel loves football very much and is a great fan the captain of the Armenian national football team, halfback of the London's Arsenal Henrikh Mkhitarian. Learning about Manvel's wish to meet with Mkhitarian, President Armen Sarkissian promised to give him that opportunity.

Today, at the Presidential Palace, the meeting took place. ՛՛When I asked Manvel about his dream, he said, I want to become a football player like Henrikh Mkhitarian, ՛՛ President introduced this way Manvel and Henrikh to each other.

In the informal setting, President Sarkissian, Henrikh Mkhitarian, and the little football fan from Gyumri conversed about football, Manvel's interests, hobbies, and dreams. ՛՛See, how simple peoples' dreams are, they come true in just one day,՛՛ President told Manvel.

Henrikh Mkhitarian presented his small admirer a ball with his signature, while a photo with the President of Armenia and the renowned football player completed Manvel's eventful day.

Afterwards, the President of Armenia and the captain of the Armenian national football team spoke about general development trends in football, performance of the Armenia's national team and tasks in front of it, UK championship and Arsenal.

President Sarkissian noted that he is a football fan since childhood. He told about football and his recollections of the players of the legendary Ararat team. ՛՛For years, my love for the game gave raptures and joyfool days. Those were days of 1973-1975,՛՛ President said. ՛՛Nowdays, many are cheering for Arsenal but it's only because of you. ՛՛He thanked Henrikh Mkhitarian for his services to football and the national team and wished him every success. H. Mkhitarian said that he would do everything to perform his best in the national team and in the Premier League.

Henrikh Mkhitarian gave the President of Armenia as a gift a T-shirt with his signature.
