Ambassador of Cuba to Armenia presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to the Republic of Armenia Emilio Pevida Pupo (residence in Nur-Sultan) presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.
President Armen Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his diplomatic mission, wished him success and expressed hope that through his active engagement the bilateral relations would acquire a new content.
The President of Armenia and Ambassador of Cuba exchanged views on the opportunities to expand cooperation in different areas, in particular in healthcare, pharmacology, biotechnology, and tourism. They also stressed the existing potential for a mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of education and culture.
Noting that in Soviet times many Cubans received education in Armenia, President Sarkissian viewed as desirable the re-establishment of that tradition, as well as the implementation of joint educational and cultural programs.
