President Sarkissian received the Dean of Journalism Department of MSU: Moscow State University is a dear educational center for me

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Dean of Journalism Department of the M. Lomonosov Moscow State University Elena Vardanova and Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergei Kopirkin.

President Sarkissian said that the MSU was a dear educational center for him where he has many colleagues and friends. He noted that during his scientific and lecturing career, he had multiple contacts and reciprocal visits with his colleagues from the MGU.

Armen Sarkissian stressed the importance of the MSU, which is one of the world’s leading educational establishments, presence in Armenia and viewed as necessary the expansion of the activities of its Yerevan brunch, implementation of joint programs in the scientific and educational areas, and strengthening of the existing ties.

Speaking of the purpose of her visit, Elena Vardanova said that she has made a number of public lectures at the Yerevan branch of the Moscow State University.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the issues related to the future of journalism, challenges existing in the era of digital technologies, factual and professional information, and on upgrading the level of journalism teaching.
