President Armen Sarkissian hosted today the Vicar-General of the Mkhitarist Congregation Ftr. Vahan Ohanian and the activist from Australia Ara Katibian.

The guests informed the President that the Congregation has initiated publication of the 10 volume almanac which will comprise articles from the American periodicals in the years before and after the Genocide. The pertinent articles were published in six leading American newspapers: The New York Times, The Boston Daily Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The Christian Science Monitor, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post.

They presented to Armen Sarkissian the first, two-volume book of the series titled The Armenian Genocide: Prelude and Aftermath. As reported in the US Press- The New York Times. The 2666 articles presented here refer to the massacres of the Hamidian era of 1894-1896, the massacre in Adana, the Armenian Genocide of 1915, and the immediate consequences of the carnage.

The authors noted that the books are intended for experts and researchers, are not for sale but will sent to libraries and universities.
