President Sarkissian met with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office
President Armen Sarkissian met today with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak and his delegation.
President Sarkissian stressed the importance of the OSCE activities and the role not only as the main structure dealing with the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict but also as a platform which is pushing for comprehensive security through the dialogue, trust, and cooperation.
Noting that the South Caucasus region occupies an important place on the OSCE agenda, Mr. Lajcak said that they have come to learn precisely how they can assist Armenia best in the implementation of the assumed obligations, speak about the peace process, and works of the OSCE Minsk Group.The President of Armenia and the OSCE Chairman-in-Office exchanged views on the enhancement of the OSCE activities, challenges facing the Organization, and on the priorities of the Slovak chairmanship.
The parties discussed also the Armenia-Slovakia bilateral relations and noted that the two countries have a broad agenda of cooperation in different areas and stressed the importance of making active steps towards a full use of the existing potential.
