President Sarkissian met with the European Commissioner for Digital Single Market Andrus Ansip

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Vice President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Digital Single Market Andrus Ansip.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on e-governance, development and implementation of the digital agenda, digital public services and pertinent legal regulations, and with this regard they stressed the importance of the steps aimed at the development of digital skills.

President Sarkissian said that our country views as priority innovations and new technologies, “In Armenia, we understand very well that future is digital, moreover so since at the digital market, innovative ideas have great chances to turn into reality.”

Speaking of the policy of shaping the EU digital single market, Commissioner Andrus Ansip noted that he expects a closer cooperation with Armenia in this area.
