President Sarkissian in not collaborating with any party

One of the Armenian news outlets has published yet another fake news about President Armen Sarkissian and his activities, noting in particular that he allegedly has his own interests in Armenia’s political field and is collaborating with one of the political parties.

The Public Relations Department of the Presidential Administration is authorized to state that the information is false and does not reflect the reality.

President Armen Sarkissian is not a member to any party, has no interests in the political field, and does not collaborate with any party.

In the framework of his authorities, when necessary, President has met and will continue to meet with the political forces represented in the Parliament as well as with those which are not. Namely, last October, President Sarkissian initiated and held a series of consultations with a number of fractions in the National Assembly; lately, he met with representatives of the newly elected Bureau of the ARF. Information on these and similar meetings was provided and will be provided in the future.

We urge our colleagues to refrain from methodical steps aimed at spreading false information.
