President Armen Sarkissian handed state awards and honorary titles to a group of nominees
A ceremony of handing state awards and honorary titles took place today at the Presidential Palace.
For the considerable input into a successful organization of the 17th Summit of Francophonie, for the exceptional sense of duty and dedication, the Head of the State Protocol Service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Levon Minassian was awarded the Second Degree Medal for Services to Fatherland.
The Second Degree Medal for Services to Fatherland was awarded also to the Head Coach of Armenia’s Weightlifting Federation’s national team Pashik Alaverdian for the contribution to the development of physical culture and sports and outstanding achievements in international sports.
For the contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, Khachik Asmarian and Vachagen Vardanian received honorary titles of Distinguished Athletes, and Ashot Gasparian, Rudik Mkrtchian and Karen Sarkissov received honorary titles of the RA Distinguished Trainers.
The President congratulated and wished success to all those who received state awards and honorary titles and noted that in the process of fulfilling their professional duties, they were not thinking of state awards, however the state should see and distinguish its best sons and daughters. “Each one of you, regardless of age, is in the beginning of patriotic mission, and there are still many things to do. Expectations from you are great,” the President of Armenia said.
