Presidential awards were handed to three teams participants of Sevan Startup Summit-2018
Today, at the Presidential Palace special Presidential Awards were handed to three teams participants of the Sevan Startup Summit-2018.
Last summer, President Sarkissian participated at the closing ceremony of the Sevan Startup Summit-2018 and promised that another nomination – Presidential Award - would be added to the awards for the participating 120 startup teams.
Today, President Sarkissian handed Presidential awards to the three winning teams.
The first award and 5 million AMD was handed to SuperAnnotate Al project.
The second and third incentive prizes were handed to YOLO and Sense2beat projects respectively.
President Sarkissian congratulated the organizers and participants of the Sevan Startup Summit and expressed hope that they would continue with their works and would appear also on the international arena. “It’s time for us to make startups also in the Silicon Valley. Certainly, participation of 120 teams is impressive, but I hope that in the coming years the number of participants will reach 1200. It’s a splendid idea and program. Many of young people are making their first steps in life and with your assistance and God willing, they will get to great success.”
The co-founder of the Startup Armenia Fund Hakop Hakopian said that President’s assistance was inspiring. “The very fact that you visited us and had a lecture is a great step forward for us. And today’s awards and the ideas they embody are compelling. We are ready to do even more so that Armenia can occupy an important place on the map of innovations,” Hakop Hakopian said.
