President hosted Professor John Bilezikian of Columbia University

President Armen Sarkissian received today the famous physician, Professor John Bilezikian of Columbia University.

At the initiative of Professor Bilezikian, for the last twelve years, annual symposiums on the problems of osteoporosis are being held in Yerevan. Next week, for the second time in a row an international conference will be held in Yerevan gathering representatives from over two dozen states.

Professor Bilezikian, who maintains close relations with Fatherland, stressed the importance the implementation of educational and research programs and noted that he was pleased to pass on his experience to Armenian doctors.

At the meeting, discussed were also issues of public health.
