Establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Gambia will promote the development of bilateral ties

President Armen Sarkissian met today with the Vice President of Gambia Ousainou Darboe.

At the Yerevan Summit of Francophonie Gambia received the status of observer.

The parties stressed the importance of the communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations, which was signed days ago, and expressed confidence that it will boost cooperation in different areas. They, in particular, discussed possible cooperation in the area of high technologies as well as issues related to the development of relations with the African countries in general.
