President Sarkissian met with the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference

On October 4, in New York President Sarkissian met with the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger.

The Munich Security International Conference is a reputable platform which every year brings together political, state, and public figures, and diplomats from more than 70 states who discuss issues of global security policy, particularly, those pertinent to the current and future security challenges.

President Sarkissian and Ambassador Ischinger stressed the importance of discussions around the security issues and the necessity of finding solutions to the existing global, including regional problems, through a dialogue.

Ambassador Ischinger invited President Sarkissian to speak at the Munich Security Conference.

The President of Armenia noted that the Munich Security Conference becomes more representative and influencial by year, while the issues under discussion reflect the current global security challenges. He highlighted Ambassador Ischinger's significant contribution to the Conference in its becoming one of the most important international platforms.
