Kids were hosted at the Presidential Palace on the occasion of Knowledge Day
On the occasion of Knowledge and Schooling Day, on the beginning of the academic year, this morning kids from different educational institutions, including centers caring for the children with special needs, orphanages, and Armenian-Syrian schoolchildren were hosted at the Presidential Palace.
Fun and educational programs were organized for the children at the open spaces of the Presidential Palace. The installed stands presented interesting and easy to understand thematic exhibitions on Physics and Chemistry. The children also had the opportunity to paint, make pottery, and play chess.
Little guests also met with President Armen Sarkissian. The President conversed with the kids, and together with them observed the stands. Responding to the questions of the journalists, Armen Sarkissian said that rather than going to a school he opted to welcome kids at the Presidential Palace. “We intend to open this small but nice garden for public on nonworking days,” the President of Armenia said.
According to President Sarkissian, it is important that on September 1 children go to school with pleasure. “For children, school ought to become a place which they attend gladly. Those who learn with pleasure, learn everything very fast, deeply, and forever.”
