High-level Armenian-Iranian relations create a good basis for the development of a mutually beneficial cooperation – Armen Sarkissian

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia H.E. Mr. Seyyed Kazem Sajjad.

Welcoming the guest, the President noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the high-level state relations based on the centuries-long friendship of the two peoples. These relations create a good basis for the development of a mutually beneficial cooperation.

The parties concurred that there is still a great and untapped potential in the Armenian-Iranian economic relations and consistent works should be carried out towards its efficient utilization.

They also stressed the importance of invigorating programs on the bilateral economic agenda, as well as the Iran-EAEU free trade provisional agreement which offers good opportunities for cooperation.
