Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh discussed issues related to cooperation of the two states
Today, in Stepanakert President Armen Sarkissian had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakian. The Presidents discussed issues related to the cooperation of the two Armenian states.
After the meeting, President Armen Sarkissian told the journalists:
“I would like to note with satisfaction that Artsakh has become a mature state unit which has democratic institutions, elected parliament and president as well as people who are not only proud to be Artsakhians but are also proud to have a state. I am confident that the democratically elected authorities of Artsakh, together with people, have both life experience, pride, courage and, certainly, wisdom to solve their internal issues. We all – Armenia and our entire nation, stand as one by Artsakh because challenges still persist. They are as sizeable, probably today even more sizeable than ever. Thus, stability in Artsakh is very important for all of us.”
During the visit, Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh, the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh of the Armenian Apostolic Church Pargev Archbishop Martirossian and Chairman of the Union of Freedom Fighters of Artsakh Samvel Karapetian visited also the site of Freedom Fighters Park and observed the construction works.
