27th joint session of the members of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and its local offices took place at the Presidential Palace
Today, the 27th joint session of the members of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All-Armenia Fund and local offices took place at the Presidential Palace. The session was chaired by the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.
At the beginning of the meeting, after the Supreme Patriarch gave his blessing, the President of Armenia congratulated the attendees on the centennials of the First Republic and the Heroic Battles of May.
Highlighting the importance of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund as a Pan-Armenian structure, the President underscored the uniting mission of the Fund. According to the President, the Fund should continue to unite the citizens of Armenia, our compatriots living in Artsakh and Spyurk as well as should also become a factor which would unite Diaspora.
The programs, which have been implemented through the funding of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund or through its assistance, are the results of the efforts of all Armenians. The Fund should improve by year its methods to register greater results, to implement more ambitious programs which will reflect our actual potential and the existing reputation of the Armenian Diaspora in the world.
President Armen Sarkissian noted that all programs of the Fund, along with their diversity and geography, possess internal uniting content, while the latest – the construction of Vardenis-Martakert road is uniting in the direct sense of the work.
The President spoke also about the recent events in Armenia and noted that new horizons are opening before us and they need to be used in the best possible way. “We need through practical steps and tangible results prove the fact of being a small country but a great nation – genuinely caring and considerate towards the Republic of Armenia and Republic of Artsakh, Armenian world, and Armenian Homeland,” Armen Sarkissian said.
