President paid tribute to the memory of fallen warriors who gave their lives for Fatherland

Today, President Armen Sarkissian together with His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II visited Victory Park in Yerevan and accompanied by the War veterans, the highest commanding officers of the RA Armed Forces, state figures, representatives of War veterans NGOs, diplomats accredited to Armenia laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
On the occasion of victory in the Great Patriotic War and anniversary of deliberation of Shushi, the President of Armenia paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who defended Fatherland and sacrificed their lives for peace.
Together with the participants of the event, President Sarkissian observed the ceremonial parade of the RA Armed Forces and RF military base.
Later, the President of Armenia visited a field kitchen, which is traditionally opens in Victory Park of this day, and congratulated the veterans who gathered around a dinner table in the tent. He dined and conversed with them on the issues raised by the veterans.
