President Armen Sarkissian received today ambassadors of Arab states

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Ambassadors of the United Arab
Emirates, Egypt, Lebanon to the Republic of Armenia, as well as Charges d’affaires of
Kuwait and Iraq.

Discussed were issues pertinent to the agenda of the bilateral cooperation, particularly
those related to the deepening of economic cooperation.

President Sarkissian expressed his gratitude to the diplomats for their warm attitude
towards the Armenian communities in their respective countries which allowed the
Armenians not only to preserve their national identity but also develop and bring their
active participation to the political, social, and economic life of these countries.
The participants exchanged also views on the current situation in Armenia.

The diplomats expressed hope that the situation will be resolved in the framework of the
Constitution and laws and stressed the importance of the President’s role in the
process.
