President Armen Sarkissian received the UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia

President Armen Sarkissian received today the UN Resident Coordinator, Permanent Representative of UNDP in Armenia Shombi Sharp.

The President of Armenia congratulated Mr. Sharp on assuming the office, wished him every success and expressed hope that his experience will allow him to carry in the best way his mission in Armenia.

The UN Resident Coordinator, Permanent Representative of UNDP in Armenia Shombi Sharp spoke about numerous activities and programs implemented by different UN structures in Armenia.

The parties also exchanged views on the current situation in the country. Mr. Sharp expressed hope that everything will be settled in the framework of the Constitution and stressed the importance of the President’s role in the process.
