Joint appeal by the civic and spiritual leaders of Armenia and Artsakh on April 24

Dear Compatriots,

Tomorrow, the entire Armenian nation along with progressive mankind, at all continents will commemorate the memory of the victims of Mets Eghern.

The memory of April 24 is sacred and universal for all Armenians and civilized people all over the world.

No Armenian should raise a hand or voice against another on that day.

For over one hundred years that day has been one of unity, commemoration, mourning and protest against the injustice committed by Turks and those who deny the Genocide today

Let us honor the memory of our ancestors and guard the future of our nation with dignity and honor.

Let us preserve the world's support and solidarity with Armenians on April 24 as together with us they honor the memory of the victims and remember those who helped the survivors.

Today, we – as the successors of the survivors – have a duty to unite our people around our national ideals, to solve our internal problems collectively through a dialogue and mutual understanding, to foster the creative spirit of our people, and to create a dynamically developing modern Armenia which will become a source of pride for Armenians all over the world and one able to protect eternal rights of the Armenian people.
