President Armen Sarkissian hosted the Catholicos of All Armenians

Today, at the Presidential Palace President Sarkissian hosted His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

The President of Armenia welcomed His Holiness and underscored the indispensable contribution of the Apostolic Church in all areas of our peoples’ life and preservation of spiritual values.

Armen Sarkissian and Garegin II spoke about the close cooperation established between the state and the Church, fostering of the Armenia-Diaspora ties, as well as about the most important issues and existing challenges.

The Supreme Patriarch expressed confidence that respect towards President Sarkissian, his extensive international connections, rich experience in the area of state administration and knowledge will serve at the their best for the benefit of the country’s advancement.
