President Armen Sarkissian received French Senator Olivier Cadic

President Serzh Sarkissian received today Olivier Cadic, French Senator representing French nationals living abroad.

The President of Armenia noted with satisfaction that visits of the French Parliament members have become a good tradition, becoming one of the most vivid manifestations of the special relations established between our countries.

The parties stressed the importance of the Francophonie Summit to be held in Armenia this fall. President Sarkissian underlined that for Armenia Francophonie is not just a structure formed around linguistic or cultural commonalities but a larger entity considering a business forum, which will take in the framework of the Summit, and creation of a Francophone business network.

The President of Armenia hailed efforts of France as a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Artsakh issue, strengthening of the regional stability, security, and development of cooperation.
Senator Cadic presented the system of representing French nationals residing abroad, mechanisms of interaction of French organizations oversees.
