President receives Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreigns Affairs of France
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreigns Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne. Discussed were the preparations for the Francophonie Summit to be held in Armenia this October, as well as issues related to Armenian-French relations.
Noting that he had fondest recollections of his January visit to Paris, France, and the meetings held with the country’s top leadership, President Sargsyan said Armenia looking forward to the French President’s State visit with great joy which, according to Serzh Sargsyan, will be a strong impetus for the strengthening and development of Armenian-French relations.
Pleased to see active efforts being made in the run-up to the Summit of La Francophonie, State Secretary Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne assured that France will render all possible assistance with the ongoing preparations for this important event.
During the meeting, reference was made to regional problems and challenges, including the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
