President attends launch of new educational program of National Defense Research University of Defense Ministry

President of the Republic of Armenia, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serzh Sargsyan attended a meeting dedicated to the launch of the new educational program of Defense Ministry’s National Defense Research University (NDRU), which started with a pilot training course referred to as “Strategic guidelines for reforms in the defense system of the Republic of Armenia.”

Implemented at this stage of training for commissioned officers and the senior staff of civilian special service, the program was launched by President Serzh Sargsyan’s lecture. The Minister of Defense, the top leadership of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces, as well as Defense Ministry’s analyst-researchers participated in the meeting.

The President of Armenia answered the questions of interest to meeting participants, which bore on Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, the regional challenges and Armenia-Diaspora cooperation.

The meeting was opened by NDRU Director Hayk Kotanjyan’s remarks, who presented the University’s key achievements since its inception and the upcoming programs.
