President receives Chairmen of Investigative Committees of Russia and Belarus
President Serzh Sargsyan received today Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and Ivan Noskevich, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus, who have arrived in Yerevan to attend the joint session of the Board of Investigative Committees of Armenia, Russia and Belarus.
Welcoming the guests, the President stressed the importance of close cooperation between law enforcement agencies as implemented on a daily basis and underscored that Armenia appreciates the ongoing close cooperation and exchange of experience between State agencies in partner countries, considering that new technologies and opportunities are emerging in this rapidly changing world that can help find effective solutions to existing challenges and improve performance. Noting that the format of joint sessions is a good platform for boosting cooperation, President Sargsyan wished the Investigative Committees Board successful proceedings.
The guests thanked the President for excellent organization of the Yerevan session, and expressed satisfaction with the results of their joint efforts. The Chairmen of Russian and Belarusian Investigative Committees highlighted the Memorandum of Understanding signed on the sidelines of the session, which is meant to step up cooperation and promote exchange of experience in a number of important areas.
