President receives Minister of Investment and International Cooperation of Egypt

President Serzh Sargsyan received today Minister of Investment and International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Sahar Nasr, who is in Armenia to participate in the 5th session of the Armenian-Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific Affairs and Technical Cooperation.

Greeting the guest, the President of Armenia pointed out that the Armenian-Egyptian historical and cultural ties date back to ancient times. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that the bilateral relations have always been characterized by sincere friendship and mutual trust, which served as a solid basis for the development of close interstate relations after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Serzh Sargsyan said to have kept warm memories of his latest meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and asked Dr. Nasr to convey his greetings to the President of Egypt.

Minister Sahar Nasr noted that Egypt is keen to build on the trade and economic relations and develop investment cooperation with friendly Armenia, highlighting the respective private sectors’ involvement in that process. The Minister advised that during the proceedings of the intergovernmental commission, the sides agreed to work out a roadmap for the implementation of the agreements reached so far.

Sahar Nasr noted that once back to Egypt, she will prepare a report on the country’s President and Government.
