President receives French National Assembly Member Olivier Dassault

President Serzh Sargsyan received today French National Assembly Member Olivier Dassault.

Welcoming the guest, the President of Armenia highlighted the key role played by inter-parliamentary cooperation in the strengthening of distinguished Armenian-French relations.

Pleased with the fact that relations between the two friendly States are developing successfully in all spheres, Serzh Sargsyan noted that one of the priorities of the bilateral agenda is the deepening of the Armenian-French trade and economic relations in order to harmonize them with the ongoing high-level political dialogue.

President Sargsyan and French MP Olivier Dassault highlighted the effective functioning of the Armenia-France inter-parliamentary friendship groups, as well as the need for closer cooperation within international organizations in terms of promoting interstate relations and friendship between the Armenian and French peoples.

Emphasizing the role of Olivier Dassault and his family in the social and political life of France, President Sargsyan expressed the hope that the present visit would help enhance and develop the centuries-old Armenian-French friendly ties.
