President receives members of Boris Mints Institute’s International Council
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the members of the International Council of the Boris Mints Institute for Strategic Solutions to Global Challenges, who together with their colleagues from the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University organized today a workshop referred to as “Small Transition Economies: Local Responses to Global Challenges.” The President of the Republic sent a message to the session.
Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the guests - leading experts and professors, well-known politicians and philanthropists - who are concerned about the pressing global problems and challenges and stand ready to invest their long experience and knowledge mediating fruitful consultations aimed at finding the right solutions.
Highly appreciative of the activities of the Boris Mints Institute and the Council members’ dedication to this important cause, the President of Armenia pointed out that in all countries the authorities always need advice and experts’ recommendations, and in this respect, Armenia is open and ready for dialogue.
Thankful for the reception, Boris Mints and other participants of the meeting noted with satisfaction that the Yerevan workshop was quite interesting and fruitful, which allowed them to listen to different opinions and views voiced by Armenian experts, scholars and professors, public officers on the prospects and strategic directions of Armenia’s development.
President Sargsyan briefed the guests on the path covered since Armenia’s independence, including development processes, efforts aimed at building a democratic State underpinned by strong civil society and market economy, as well as on the emerging challenges and development prospects.
