President attends opening of new building of Eurnekian General Education Institution

Together with His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, philanthropist Eduardo Eurnekian, a number of public officials and guests of honor, President Serzh Sargsyan attended today the opening of the new building of Eurnekian General Education Institution. The consecration of the school was performed by the Catholicos of All Armenians.

This school was founded by His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and on the donations of Eduardo Eurnekian on September 1, 2009 on the basis of the Vagarshapat secondary school No 13. In order to improve the learning environment in the school, a new building of the Eurnekian general education institution was built at the initiative of the Catholicos and under the patronage of Eduardo Eurnekian. Equipped with classrooms and laboratories, the school can accommodate 500 or more students simultaneously.

The President of Armenia toured the new school building getting acquainted with the work carried out and the training amenities. In conclusion, Serzh Sargsyan took part in the planting of trees in the courtyard of the school.
