President receives Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development
President Serzh Sargsyan received Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia.
Greeting the guest, the President appreciated his visit to Armenia and the Armenian-Georgian business forum in Yerevan, which will add momentum to bilateral trade and economic relations.
The interlocutors concurred in that the high-level dialogue that has been developed over the past 25 years of independence in political, humanitarian and economic spheres, as well as the friendly relations between the two peoples may provide a solid basis for the furtherance and strengthening of interstate relations.
The President of Armenia and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia discussed possibilities for developing bilateral trade and economic relations and implementing joint projects in the fields of mutual interest. They stressed the need for supporting each other on the way to third-country markets and implementing joint export-oriented programs.
The interlocutors agreed that by virtue of participation in different integration processes (Armenia is an EAEU-member country, while Georgia has signed an association agreement with the EU), Armenia and Georgia have great potential for the development of partnership within the framework of the aforementioned integration processes.
