Newly appointed Indonesia Ambassador Yuddi Krisnandi hands credentials to President
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Armenia Yuddi Krisnandi (residence in Kiev) presented today his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the office and wished him every success in his activities. Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the role played by Indonesia in South-East Asia and is ready to deepen interstate relations, which can be facilitated through intensified inter-parliamentary relations and a solid legal framework between the two countries. As the President said, this will stimulate the development of Armenian-Indonesian trade and economic relations.
Thankful for the reception and the President’s congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Yuddi Krisnandi noted that it is a great honor for him to serve as ambassador in a country, the ancient history of which has instilled in him a feeling of great respect for the Armenian people. From the perspective of bilateral cooperation, the Ambassador expressed the belief that cooperation in the spheres of tourism, education, trade and economy might be promising.
The interlocutors agreed in that the geographical divide between Armenia and Indonesia could never be an obstacle to the development of interaction - especially in the 21st century - when technological progress has significantly reduced the geographical distance to provide great opportunities for the development of bilateral relations.
Reference was made to Armenian-Indonesian interaction within international organizations. The parties took the opportunity to discuss regional problems and challenges, including the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
