President Serzh Sargsyan visits Armenian pavilion at Astana Expo-2017

On the margins of his working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the Armenian pavilion at Astana Expo-2017 specialized international exhibition. The Armenian stand is located in the Silk Road collective pavilion. In parallel to the package of proposals related to alternative energy, the Armenian stand features our country’s assets in the fields of culture, history, economy, tourism, as well as the existing investment opportunities.

Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, who is the chief commissioner for coordination of the activities related to Armenia’s participation in Astana Expo-2017, Armen Melkikyan, Director of the Armenian Fund for Renewable Energy and Energy Saving, which is Armenia’s national operator at the exhibition and Director of Tourism Development Fund of Armenia Ara Khzmalyan briefed the President of the Republic of Armenia on the work done in preparation for the exposition, introduced the exhibits and the planned activities for the next three months.

Note that on the sidelines the Astana exposition, national days of participating countries will be held until September 10, 2017.

After completing the working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the RA President-headed delegation returned to Yerevan.
