President attends Church Representative Assembly in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

At the invitation of Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, President Serzh Sargsyan attended today the Church Representative Assembly in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, which started on June 6.

Following the Lord’s Prayer, the event was addressed by the Catholicos of All Armenians, after which the President of the Republic welcomed the spiritual and secular deputies in attendance and wished the meeting successful proceedings. President Sargsyan expressed readiness to answer the questions of interest to the participants regarding the Church-State relations, the peaceful settlement of the Artsakh issue, Armenia’s defense and security, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the socio-economic problems faced in Homeland, the assistance provided to those Syrian Armenians who found refuge in Armenia, as well as the further strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora ties.
