President received representatives of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology

President Serzh Sargsyan received today representatives of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), including the co-founders and members of the Board of Trustees, representatives of the Advisory Council, and the Executive Director of the Foundation.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, architect for innovative ecosystems Armen Orujian presented the process of the creation of the Foundation, members of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council which comprises leading Armenian scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs from all over the world. He also spoke about the goals of the Foundation and programs designed to achieve them. Speaking about the objectives of the Foundation, the Executive Director noted that they are called to centralize, coordinate and enhance activities of the Armenian scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs everywhere in the world. It will also promote the creation and development in Armenia of the environment which will be conducive for the technological innovations and mobilization of the scientific, technological, and financial potential of the Armenian and international scientific circles.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the issues related to the organization of FAST’s efficient work, discussed conditions necessary to implement its goals, as well as mechanisms and opportunities and with this regard listened also to the observations and proposals of the President of Armenia.

Noting that the FAST has already become a reality, the President Sargsyan said that he was glad that the idea, which was in the making for a long time, has materialized – the Council was formed, the Executive Director endowed with the necessary experience and potential to unite gifted individuals, was found. The President wished the Foundation every success and expressed readiness to assist in the implementation of this idea which makes part of the general vision for Armenia’s advancement.
