The newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand presented his credential to President Serzh Sargsyan
Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand in the Republic of Armenia Ian Alexander Hill (residence in Moscow) presented his credential to President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on his nomination and wished him success in the development of the bilateral relations. He underscored that Armenia attaches importance to the development of the multifaceted relations with New Zealand which plays prominent role in the Pacific region.
The parties concurred that despite geographical distance under the existing technological conditions potential for the efficient cooperation is larger than the existing level of relations between the two countries.
The President of Armenia noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and New Zealand which compels to re-evaluate the relations and make mutual efforts for elevating them to a qualitatively new level.
Ambassador Ian Alexander Hill thanked the President for the reception and said that he would do his best to promote the relations between the two countries.
At the meeting, discussed were opportunities and prospects for the development of the Armenia-New Zealand relations in different areas.
