President participated at the reception held at the Central Bank on the occasion of New Year and Holy Christmas

President Serzh Sargsyan participated today at the New Year and Holy Christmas reception at the Central Bank of Armenia.

On the occasion of the holidays, the President of Armenia congratulated and conveyed good wishes to all employees of the Central Bank and the banking system of Armenia and their families.

Serzh Sargsyan also thanked the representatives of the Central Bank for upholding stability in Armenia’s financial system in 2016, noting the fact that in the passing year our country has had to withstand challenges such as the Four-day April war and other events which, in general, in all countries result in a certain instability.

The President wished that the financial stability is maintained also in 2017 and political processes, including the elections, do not jeopardize in any way the activities of the banking system and do not hamper the economic development.

The President of Armenia expressed hope that positive changes in the banking system will continue in the coming year, promoting the development of the banking system.
