President received delegation of the Eurasian region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement

President Serzh Sargsyan received today delegation of the Eurasian region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) which will participate at the regular youth forum and conference. The delegation has arrived to take part at the Third Forum and 6th Conference of the Eurasian chapter of the WOSM which is named the Dialogue of Generations and will be held on October 3-9 in Yerevan.

The President of Armenia welcomed the scouts and stressed the importance of their Yerevan gathering. He underscored that events like this provide a good opportunity to hear the voice of the youth as well as to engage them in the decision making processes.

“I believe that the policies adopted by your structure such as the engagement of the youth in all areas of the social life and enhancement of their activities, is fully concurrent with the youth policy adopted by our country. I am hopeful that your works will be efficient and will provide opportunities to establish even closer relations with our young people and the youth organizations, including scout structures as well as to familiarize with the historical and cultural heritage of Armenia,” said President of Armenia at the meeting.

Serzh Sargsyan expressed readiness to continue his assistance to the scouts, who work under the motto To Make the World a Better Place, and stressed the importance of their decades-long activities.

The participates of the meeting thanked the President of Armenia for such a high assessment given to their work, provided assistance in organizing the youth forum and the regional conference in Yerevan at a high level.
