President received the IMF Executive Director of Dutch-Belgian Subgroup Menno Snel
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Executive Director of the Dutch-Belgian Subgroup of the International Monetary Fund Menno Snel.
The President of Armenia expressed gratitude to the Executive Director Menno Snel for presenting properly Armenia’s interests in the IMF during five years of his tenure. Considering the fact that Mr. Snel will soon be concluding his mission on that position, the President of Armenia wished him every success in his future endeavors and expressed hope that cooperation with the next Executive Director will also be productive and constructive. Serzh Sargsyan highly valued the IMF role in the implementation of the economic policy in Armenian and underscored that thanks to the lasting cooperation with this reputable international financial institution our country has carried out considerable economic reforms. According to the President, despite multiple challenges, negative impulses from outside, combined efforts undertaken together with the IMF allowed to register certain progress, and Armenia is interested in the continuous cooperation with the Fund.
In his turn, Menno Snel spoke with satisfaction about the partnership between Armenia and IMF, implemented joint programs and noted that a solid foundation has been created for future cooperation.
