President received the Head of the WHO Regional Office for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Head of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab.

At the beginning of the meeting the Head of the WHO regional Office for Europe expressed condolences for the rise of tension at the line of contact of NK conflict zone and resulting casualties and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.

The President of Armenia and Mrs. Jakab spoke with satisfaction about the Armenia-WHO cooperation, which stretches over twenty-five years, and underlined that particularly with regard to the primary health care in recent years Armenia has undertaken significant steps aimed at the enhancement of healthy life style of the population, improvement of the provided medical services, and affordability of medical services.

Head of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab assured the President of Armenia that the WHO will continue to closely cooperate and support the health care sector in Armenia, considering also national priorities.
