President visited the Home-Museum of the Hero of the Artsakh Liberation War Doushman Vardan

President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the Home-Museum of the hero of the Artsakh Liberation War, holder of the First Degree Combat Cross Order (posthumously) Vardan Stepanian – Doushman Vardan. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the devotee of the Armenian nation, the Home-Museum of Doushman Vardan reopened after a renovation. Accompanied by the family of the freedom fighter and representatives of the RA Ministry of Defense, the President of Armenia visited the room for patriotic and military education, the library, other rooms of the house where the hero spent 26 years of his life. At the conclusion of the visit, President Serzh Sargsyan made an inscription in the Guest Book: “Vardan Stepanian is a genuine example of a conscientious and far-sighted intellectual, of a volunteer dedicated to the protection of Fatherland. His discipline and courage became exemplary to his brothers-in-arms during his lifetime. His military journey was a glorious one, just like our entire Army’s. Doushman Vardan and individuals like him stood at the beginnings of our Army.

I am confident that the Home-Museum, which is called to immortalize him, will carry a gratifying mission, making the example of Vardan Stepanian a contagious and sapiential example for other generations,” wrote the President of Armenia.
