President received Board members of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development

President Serzh Sargsyan received today Board members of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development headed by the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board Anton Siluanov. Present at the meeting was also the head of the Management Board of the EFSD, Chairman of the Bank’s Board Dmitri Pankin.

The President of Armenia welcomed guests who have arrived to our country to participate in the 24th session of the Board of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development. Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that the first session of the Board conducted in Yerevan will be productive and at the same time will provided the participants with the opportunity to familiarize with Armenia, the country’s potential for development, and current economic situation.

Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia’s cooperation with the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development is developing successfully and with this regard he referred to three agreements signed with the Bank’s Head of the Management Board. The President expressed confidence that through the financing provided by the Fund the implementation of the promising infrastructure projects will become a reality, which will undoubtedly promote the development of the country’s pivotal economic areas, and will give an impetus to the overall social and economic advancement of the country.

The participants of the meeting concurred that the implementation of major interstate and national projects will also allow to deepen integration between the Republic of Armenia and other EFSD member states. Discussed were prospects for future development of cooperation and its priorities. The President of Armenia and Board members of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development exchanged views on the current tendencies in the global economy and existing challenges. In their opinion, it will be easier to resist these challenges working together.
