The President held a working meeting with the leaders of the RA National Security Service and Police

The President of Armenia held today a working meeting with the leaders of the RA National Security Service and Police related to the issues under the jurisdiction of law enforcement bodies. In relation to the reports presented by the Head of the National Security Service and Head of Police, Serzh Sargsyan noted that the current geopolitical developments require the enforcement of the measures for the enhanced security of our citizens and every single person present in our country. “Undoubtedly, these measures must be of a preventive nature and must in no way hinder normal activities; naturally, there will be no restrictions imposed on our citizens. With this regard, professionalism of all those who are engaged in the implementation of these measures is of great significance. I have no doubt, not for a second, that we have all necessary specialists, necessary individuals who have dedicated themselves to this job – to keep our country safe, and they will carry out their duties with honor,” said the President of Armenia, and as a proof of his words he pointed out the operation carried out last night. “Thanks to the years of hard work, the hard work of the very people I have just mentioned, we have become one of the safest countries in the world, and Armenia must remain one of the safest countries in the world. There will be no incident in our country, which may in any way compromise the reputation of our country, including in this particular area. Please convey my thanks to the personnel which participated in the operation,” concluded the President of Armenia.

The President of Armenia gave instructions to the law enforcement bodies and stressed that preventive measures aimed at the preservation of public safety must be of permanent and consistent nature.
