President Serzh Sargsyan received the support team of the Dasaran educational program
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the founders of the Dasaran educational program and members of the program’s support team. They presented to Serzh Sargsyan the Dasaran program. The program was introduced in 2009 with the implementation of the modern technologies. Today, the program has created a network which connects 1495 schools in Armenia and Artsakh.
The interactive presentation of the program was accompanied by the videoconference with the different beneficiaries of the Dasaran program such as the schoolchildren, parents, teachers, school principals and a number of representatives of different areas who spoke about the utilization of the mentioned program in their work and studies and noted its efficiency.
Speaking about the program’s mission, i.e. modernization of secondary schools and bringing around a new quality of education through the introduction of information technologies and referring to the achievements of the last six years in the implementation of this idea, the founders of Dasaran noted that they strive to develop and improve the program and its tools continuously, in line with modern requirements as well as to engage the Armenian schools functioning in Diaspora.
Present at the meeting were the RA Minister of Education and Science, Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Deputy Minister of Defense, Head of Educational Department of the Yerevan City Hall, experts from the areas of education and information technologies, and other officials. They presented their views on the results of the private sector-state sector cooperation and its efficiency and underscored that the program promotes transparency in the work of the educational establishments, accountability, allows monitoring of the quality of the learning and teaching processes, as well as helps maintain accurate statistics.
The President of Armenia discusses with the participants of the meeting and the support team of the Dasaran educational program prospects of its development and issues related to the possible assistance and gave relevant instructions.
