President partakes in events to mark 85th Anniversary of ANAU Foundation

President Serzh Sargsyan took part today in the jubilee events to mark the 85th Anniversary of the Foundation of Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU) during which a biological laboratory was opened at the ANAU building. Armenia’s president toured the newly-opened laboratory saturated with modern equipment, familiarized himself with its capabilities and with the range of researches to be conducted at the laboratory.

Armenia’s president also visited the Chess Museum opened at the ANAU in 2001 which displays valuable materials about big chess events, as well as the history of Armenian chess players’ victories and other remarkable information.

Later on, Serzh Sargsyan, joined by the ANAU faculty, students and numerous guests, partook in the solemn session devoted to the 85th Anniversary of the Foundation of Armenian National Agrarian University.

On the occasion of the jubilee, the RA president awarded a number of ANAU faculty members state decorations for their significant contribution to the area of science and education and encouraged them with letters of acknowledgment.
