President receives delegation of U.S. doctors
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the delegation of highly-experienced U.S. doctors who have visited Armenia from 5 to 15 October on the initiative of Berj Apkarian, RA Honorary Consul in Fresno. The delegates have arrived in our country at the invitation of the RA president and the healthcare minister with the aim of establishing contacts with their Armenian counterparts, pass on the best and most progressive medical practice to them, share their professional abilities and skills, as well as to carry out joint professional works with local doctors.
The president welcomed the guests and thanked them for the mission on which the American doctors have arrived in our country, that is to perform their professional duties, thereby also contributing to the further reinforcement and deepening of Armenian-American relations.
Armenia’s president stressed that from the perspective of proportionate development of the RA marzes, the American doctors have been doing a great job of both helping the marz population and sharing their skills with the marzes’ medical employees.
Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the fact that apart from our successful American-Armenian compatriots, the delegation also includes American doctors who together with their Armenian colleagues make colossal efforts to preserve people’s health in Yerevan and Armenia’s different marzes and improve the quality of medical aid.
The president placed importance on the maintenance of contacts established during these days long after the end of the mission and on making such visits a regular event.
The U.S. doctors thanked President Serzh Sargsyan for the invitation and warm welcome, stressing that they are doing their work with great pride and love and will be glad to utilize their professional abilities to help Armenia and the Armenia people in the future, making use of also the opportunities provided by information technologies having no geographic limits.
